With charm as sharp as his lyrical delivery, G-Eazy returned to the stage for his Helium Tour, bringing a cool intensity and clear vision to a packed Roxian Theatre for the penultimate show of the tour. The Oakland-born rapper has long been known for his sleek style and confessional verses, but this tour marks a deeper turn. Promoting his upcoming album Helium, G-Eazy is peeling back layers and diving into the highs and lows and everything in between of one of the most important aspects of life: love. Pittsburgh fans showed up early, eager for a night that promised more than just a party. They came to feel something real.

Opening the evening was Goody Grace, stepping on stage with nothing but his guitar and a quiet confidence. His stripped-down set felt intimate and honest, leaning into the kind of storytelling that silenced the room in all the right ways. There was a softness in his delivery that made each lyric land a little deeper, especially with “Say Goodnight” and “Sweet Dreams.” Even in a room known for its energy, Goody Grace created a pause, a breath, a moment to just exist. His set was short but unforgettable, a perfect way to set the emotional tone for the rest of the night.

Marc E. Bassy brought a smooth and soulful switch-up. Navigating the stage with an effortless charisma, he delivered a performance packed with rhythm, groove, and swagger. His vocals were clean and confident, floating over bass-heavy beats that had the crowd moving. “You & Me” and “Morning” hit especially hard live, with fans singing along and swaying in sync. Marc knew how to work the crowd, making the entire room feel like one big night out.

When G-Eazy finally hit the stage, the energy flipped like a switch. From the moment he walked out into a wall of lights and smoke, the crowd erupted with a kind of electric joy. He opened with “One Of Them,” setting a tone that mixed confidence with reflection. The production was sleek and cinematic, and the smoke paied with G-Eazy’s slick suit and dark shades looked straight out of a movie. G-Eazy delivered his verses with razor-sharp precision, weaving between charm and intensity as he bounced from banger to ballad. He had complete control, gliding across the stage and pausing just enough to let the crowd fill in the blanks.

The show was broken up into multiple sets, and with a discography as expansive as G-Eazy’s, this was the perfect way to showcase a little bit of everything. From the old-school staples “I Mean It” and “Tumblr Girls” off of These Things Happen to the modern classics “WTFDIK” and “In My Head” from Freak Show, nearly every album got a moment in the spotlight. This format really highlighted G-Eazy’s evolution as an artist, especially when looking ahead to the next chapter that’s right around the corner.

As the night rolled on, G-Eazy leaned into the emotional weight behind his newest material. “Kiss The Sky” and “Fight & Fuck,” two of the released singles off of the upcoming album Helium, out May 23rd, felt personal and raw, balancing vulnerability with the cool composure he’s known for. “Midnight In Paris” brings party vibes and is infectiously catchy, fitting in perfectly with G-Eazy’s older discography, whereas “GRWM” feels very modern, with quick-burst lines that will undoubtedly pop up all over TikTok. Overall, every new track has its own unique sound, but when brought together they feel whole. The new album will explore the highs and lows of life and love, and how, like helium in a balloon, nothing lasts forever. Naturally, the best way to get this point across in a live show is with an ungodly amount of balloons. There was a shared sense of community in the room, like everyone there had lived a few of these lyrics themselves. G-Eazy didn’t just perform songs, he told stories that resonated loud and clear.

Closing out the night, G-Eazy brought it back to the biggest hits. “Him & I” and “Me, Myself & I” sent everyone into a frenzy, with hands in the air and voices shouting every lyric. The final song, “Lady Killers II / Lady Killers III,” brought the mood back down in the best way possible, leaving fans with a little bit of the old paired with a little bit of the new, in perfect balance, exactly the way it should be. G-Eazy walked off stage to a storm of applause, sweat shining under the lights and a smile that said it all. The Helium Tour may now be over, but for everyone packed into the Roxian that night, the feeling will float on long after the last beat dropped.
