Tekko 2024 is just around the corner, and fans of anime, gaming, and Japanese pop culture are eagerly counting down the days. Running from July 18 to 21, this year’s convention promises an action-packed weekend filled with an array of activities and events. From an expansive vendor hall and a bustling flea market to engaging panels and workshops, there is something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned con-goer or a first-timer, Tekko 2024 is the place to be for all things anime and beyond!
Cosplay enthusiasts will be thrilled with the opportunities to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship. With music and dancing events, including the ever-popular masquerade, attendees can expect to see some of the most impressive costumes and performances yet. Additionally, the Lolita and J-fashion tea party offers a unique experience for fashion aficionados to indulge in exquisite attire and delightful company. Definitely don’t miss out on the tabletop RPG sessions, which provide a perfect setting for both new and veteran players to embark on exciting adventures. New this year, there will also be an interactive Pokémon Scarlet/Violet gym challenge where attendees can battle against leaders in order to win prizes! And there will be so, so much more filling four days full of non-stop con fun!
Guests are a big part of any con, and Tekko has some incredible guests lined up this year. There will be several professional voice actors in attendance, including Chris Hackney (Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Dimitri), Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (Boey), Hunter x Hunter, Mega Man 11, K Project, Valkyria Chronicles 4, and Gundam SEED), Jessica Calvello (Call of the Night and Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan), David Vincent (Gun x Sword), Emi Lo (Lucy in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Sawatari in Chainsaw Man, Rena in Higurashi When They Cry, Rinku in D4DJ, Suma in Demon Slayer, Columbina/Damselette in Genshin Impact, Miri in Buddy Daddies, Hei in The Legend of Hei, Destiny in takt op. Destiny, Shuten Douji in Fate/Grand Order, Kate in Shadows House, Mirai in Dr. Stone, and Young Hawks in My Hero Academia), Ben Balmaceda (Neku Sakuraba in The World Ends With You: The Animation, Raido in Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, Jiro Yakuin in More Than A Married Couple But Not Lovers, Pedro in One Piece, Rikiel in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Tenza in Hell’s Paradise and Saber in the upcoming dub of Fate/Strange fake), and Landon McDonald (DEMON SLAYER: KIMETSU NO YAIBA: MUGEN TRAIN, THUS SPOKE KISHIBE ROHAN, BUNGO STRAY DOGS, JUJUTSU KAISEN). Other guests include choreographer Janel Jackson, aka Smuckers, and dystopia-pop idol PAiDA. There will also be performances by ASH DA HERO and Creep-P, as well as DJs D-YAMA and WILDPARTY from club MOGRA.
Following the record-breaking success of Tekko 2023, which was the largest yet, Tekko 2024 is set to surpass all expectations.
