Set It Off lit up the Roxian with nonstop pop rock fun and unforgettable memories as the Deathless Tour rolled into the Burgh. Renowned for their dynamic stage presence and genre-blending sound, Set It Off has garnered a dedicated following since their formation in 2008, with a discography spanning five studio albums, showcasing their evolution as musicians. Anticipation was high as fans packed in tight to maximize moshing and crowdsurfing potential, as both were all but guaranteed.

DeathbyRomy, the Los Angeles-born singer-songwriter, kicked off the night and captivated the audience with her magnetic stage presence and incredibly catchy hyper-pop songs. With 5 albums released, the latest of which, “Entropy,” released in 2022, DeathbyRomy showcased her versatility as an artist. Her newest single “City of Angels” set the crowd ablaze, resonating with its infectious melody and introspective lyrics, marking her as a fierce player in the hyper-pop scene. Backed by an incredible band that matched her spirited energy, DeathbyRomy made sure to get everyone hyped for the rest of the night.

Next up, Crown the Empire ignited fans with an explosive performance, fueling nonstop moshing and crowdsurfing throughout their set. Hailing from Dallas, the band’s unique style of metalcore created a high-energy atmosphere. One fiesty crowdsurfer passed off a Sidney Crosby jersey to vocalist Andy Leo who proudly sported it through the set,  symbolizing the camaraderie between the band and their fervent fans.

Finally, Set It Off took the stage to a deafening roar from the crowd, launching into a set filled with hits and surprises. The energy was palpable as fans sang along to every word, their enthusiasm fueling the band’s electrifying performance. Frontman Cody Carson commanded the stage with unmatched charisma, at one point even crowd surfing on an air mattress during “Ancient History,” much to the delight of fans.

As fans continued to get more and more hyped, Set It Off delivered an unforgettable rendition of “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead,” with their signature twist—vocalist Carson and drummer Maxx Danzinger swapped places, demonstrating their seamless chemistry and musical prowess.

Towards the end of the set, Set It Off slowed things down for a partially acoustic rendition of “Swan Song,” showcasing their versatility and musicianship. The intimate moment allowed fans to connect on a deeper level with the band, creating a poignant atmosphere amidst the chaos of the night. But things picked up quickly afterwards for an unbelievably hyped encore.

The Deathless Tour proved to be a night to remember, with Set It Off, DeathbyRomy, and Crown the Empire all delivering powerhouse performances that left a lasting impression on all in attendance.
