It was a nostalgic throwback back to the 2000s pop-punk era at the Roxian as Boys Like Girls took the stage. Known for their infectious pop-rock anthems and a dedicated fan base, the band has been a staple in the music scene since 2005. Led by the charismatic Martin Johnson, the quartet made a triumphant return to the stage after a brief hiatus, accompanied by their new album, “SUNDAY AT FOXWOODS,” creating an atmosphere of eager anticipation.

The night kicked off with an electrifying performance by LØLØ, whose boundless energy served as the perfect crowd warmer. With heavy themes of mental health, LØLØ bonded deeply with the crowd over crippling anxiety and loving people who are terrible for us. Her distinctive fusion of pop and rock elements coupled with troubles everyone can relate to left an indelible mark on the audience, igniting a collective enthusiasm that had everyone on their feet. LØLØ left fans with one final message, to have everyone promice to be there for each other.

Following LØLØ, The Summer Set brought their brand of catchy, feel-good pop-rock to the stage. Fronted by the charismatic Brian Dales, the band engaged the crowd with their anthemic tunes, creating an atmosphere of pure exhilaration that continued to build the energy in the venue.

State Champs, the penultimate act of the night, amped up the energy even further. Their high-octane pop-punk had the crowd in a frenzy with mosh pits and crowd-surfing. As a surprise for the last song of the set, Gregory James of Boys Like Girls joined the group on stage for a special duet of “Everybody But You”.
