Deathcore band Born of Osiris was seventh on the billing for the Chaos & Carnage tour. Having formed in 2003 under a different name, Born of Osiris is one of the most recognizable names in the deathcore scene. With shredding guitars and gruesome vocals alongside incredible keyboards, they have a unique heavy sound that is even better live.

Born of Osiris fed off of the intensity of the precious band, Aborted, and kicked it up even further. They by far had the darkest and loudest set of the night. The stage was set up so that the band members had risers to stand on, but crowd surfers had other plans. One after another, the crowd surfers made their way to the front and would get tossed on the stage, or rather, the risers, and take advantage of the added height by dancing and headbanging alongside the band before jumping back into the pit. And I quite literally mean jumping. One guy cannonballed back in. I’ve never been kicked by crowd surfers so many times in my life. But if you leave a death metal show with no bruises, were you even really at a death metal show?
