Fourth up at Chaos & Carnage was Crown Magnetar. This deathcore band brings an old-school intensity to its drum and bass-heavy sound. Having formed in 2017, Crown Magnetar has released two albums and have a third on the way later this year.

When Crown Magnetar started their set, I was genuinely concerned that vocalist Dan Tucker was going to pop a vein. Never in my life have I seen someone sing so viciously and with such intensity. The pure anger led to some of the most gutteral growls and screams. Alongside the brutal vocals was some of the absolute best headbanging from the whole band. Combined with incredibly deep bass that could shake you to your core, Crown Magnetar put on a show that can’t be beat.
