Death metal band Frozen Soul opened for The Black Dahlia Murder at the Roxian. Having just formed in 2018, Frozen Soul is well on their way to becoming a household name in the death metal community. With gutteral growls and shredding guitars, they go hard. Add in the constant headbanging from every single person on stage, and you have a recipe for a fantastic show!

From spraying the crowd with foam to demanding pushups in the pit, this show had everything. It was equal parts fun and brutal, largely thanks to vocalist Chad. Chad brought energy, intensity, and genuinity. Getting personal for a moment, Chad shared that his brother unfortunately passed away recently, and urged every single person in the crowd to call their friends, call their family, and tell them they love them. A heartfelt message that everyone needs to hear. This level of sincerity is very much needed, even at a death metal show. It’s well know that metalheads are some of the kindest people, and that holds true here. Just some genuinely good people having fun playing some good music. There’s nothing better.
