Hardcore band Terror opened for The Black Dahlia Murder at the Roxian. With a sound that’s a mix of metal and hardcore punk, Terror commanded the stage and made it their own. The moment they began, the crowd kicked it up a notch to match the energy of the band. Taking elements from punk shows, every single member of the band was jumping and thrashing around the stage. The physical energy amplified the hardcore vocals, leading to an intense, energetic show.
Vocalist Scott started egging the crowd on to get them in the punk spirit too. Nothing will get a metal crowd geared up quicker than “Security’s fallen asleep, wake them up!” If that wasn’t enough, Scott issued a command: move the person next to you. And move they did. Everyone in the pit started slamming into each other and the band was thrilled. Pittsburgh provided a hardcore crowd for a hardcore band, exactly how it should be.
