tl:dr BFS is still the GOAT, this album is straight fire
The long-standing masters of punk pop, Bowling For Soup, released a new album today containing a collection of covers they’ve done over the past few years. From the lighthearted Let Your Love Flow and Flowers to the more emotional When The Angels Sing and HRSA, this album has something for everyone.
The highlight of the album is without a doubt the new cover Hey Mario, a song from basist Rob Felicetti’s former band Patent Pending. A charming song talking to Mario from the Super Mario Bros game series, urging him to stop chasing Peach from castle to castle because he deserves so much better. A sentiment I’m sure we’ve all had at some point. Hey Mario adds some classic BFS fun to the album, perfectly rounding out this new release.
